Phenomena Gaming holds five values and I list these as corporate values because as a for-profit business model, I have more rights as a person than I would as an actual individual in America. Phenomena Gaming’s Five Values Are:
1) I am Anti-Imperialist
2) I Believe in Free Will (Sort of)
3) I am Anti-Racist and Anti-Classist
4) Deep Friendship is Essential to Life
5) I Embrace Multi-Polar Thinking
How will these values affect the operation of Phenomena Gaming?
First, Phenomena Gaming is a community of leadership. Games inspire leadership especially when thinking about the ordinary people who are taken on a journey in most story-based games. Patreon Tiers will be restructured to increase access for all tiers to be connected to leadership training. Also, because of my values, leadership training will always be at an accessible cost for participants. Most leadership coaching models are prohibitively expensive (thousands of dollars per course, especially if it involves 1-on-1 time). In 2023, I want to start developing leadership training courses that can be stand-alone from membership in addition to my blog and podcast work.
Second, Phenomena Gaming will build a Discord in 2023. I want to have a sub-only community chat with daily reflection questions, a public forum for building up ideas for making change in local communities, and a safe space to explore ourselves. Deep friendship requires a way to provide space for community to form and my engagement ability has been limited thus far. Discord is just a template name. I will be researching software that preserves privacy and has strong use cases in terms of organizing people to take leadership to change their own communities.
Third, Phenomena Gaming will have a shared ownership structure as it grows. I’m not sure what form that will take and will probably be a couple of years. I’m thinking either cooperative ownership or decentralized (token-structure) ownership. Since ownership is so difficult for younger generations, providing a way to own a piece of a corporation for long-term support is something I want to move toward. This is a long-term goal as I have a lot to learn about cooperative ownership models before I can commit to a specific plan.
